🌸 GEODORUM RECURVUM CARE GUIDE:
Because Geodorum is a ground orchid, its care differs slightly from your typical Phalaenopsis:
• LIGHT: Prefers bright, filtered indirect light (50% shade). Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun which can scorch the beautiful plicate (pleated) leaves.
• SOIL/MEDIA: Unlike tree orchids, these love a well-draining, rich terrestrial mix. We recommend a blend of 70% organic material (like peat moss, leaf litter, or fine decomposed bark) and 30% drainage material (perlite, coarse sand, or pumice).
• WATER: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged or soggy. Consistent moisture is key! Reduce watering slightly if the plant goes semi-dormant after the blooming season.
• HUMIDITY & TEMP: Thrives in warm environments (60°F–85°F / 16°C–30°C) with moderate to high humidity. Placing it near companion plants like ferns or a humidifier will keep it incredibly happy.
